The 2018 Production

The 2018 production of the Singing Christmas Tree returns to Harper’s Toy Store where the cast is a collection of adorable toys displayed throughout the store. Back by popular demand, this story is loved by children and adults of all ages and is a bit of a mystery where our characters are in pursuit of the “Christmas Key.” What that key represents and who is most impacted by it is the mystery. Featuring new music, new characters and sets, the Christmas Key is sure to be another hit this Christmas season.

What to Expect from the Singing Tree

Celebrate the miracle of the holidays with Life Center’s Singing Christmas Tree. Since it’s beginning in 1963, hundreds of thousands of people have enjoyed the magic of Christmas. This seasonal extravaganza features festive Christmas carols, dancers, singers, thousands of twinkling lights, elaborate sets, a full orchestra, original music, and a dramatic storyline. Experience the awe-inspiring grandeur of the living Nativity; the birth of a Baby born in a lowly manger, surrounded by live animals, Kings, and angels. The Tree has inspired, uplifted, and created wonderful holiday memories that lasts a lifetime. At Life Center, we are focused on supporting our community, and there are fun opportunities for you to get involved in making a difference this holiday season. We also have a full service cafe’ to enjoy warm holiday drinks and treats. Join us this Christmas, but don’t come alone, bring your friends, family, co-workers and neighbors. This presentation is a treat for everyone young and old! Get your tickets early so the spirit of Christmas will be with you all season long!

How long has Life Center performed the Singing Tree?

The first year was 1963 and has run continuously ever since.

How many lights are used in the production?

We have lost count, but there are well over 100,000 in the production and many more on the tree in the foyer and outside throughout the campus.

How many musicians and performers are there?

On average 175 people in the choir, to the actors and the orchestra.

How many people does it take to put it all together?

Over 100 staff and volunteer help each year in addition to the performers.

What is the tree made of?

The tree is a frame made of steel that is assembled each year by a team of over 20 volunteers.

Are there areas designated for people in wheelchairs?

Yes, please let us know when you purchase your tickets.

Is parking FREE when I get there?

Yes, there is plenty of free parking in the Life Center parking lot with designated areas for handicap parking as well.
